  • St. Patrick's Day Cards - The major free graphics site, The Animation Factory, is offering a nice free St. Patrick's Day digital greeting card service. Just select the image you want; personalize your card; preview it; and send it. A nice way to sending a greeting for St. Patrick's Day (which is March 17).
  • Virtual Insults - OK, so sometimes you don't want a greeting card with all these sappy "I love you" Hallmark sentiments. There's someone out there who's annoying you and you want to tell them what you REALLY think. Virtual Insults has got what you need. Here, the fine art of insults is personified. You can send someone a witty (or not so witty) insult, complete with sound effects (such as a toilet flushing, etc.) Perfect for all "occasions."

Just select the category you want, choose an image and background and personalize your card with your message. You can then preview it (and make any adjustments you'd like) and send it on its way.
  • Virtual Post Cards - Here's a nice up-and-coming free digital postcard service. Card topics include cats, flowers, sunsets, landscapes and butterflies and more are promised soon. There are some lovely photographic images here.
  • Planet K Cards - A nice new free digital greeting card service. Easy to use: just select the image you want, customize it, and add your personal message and you're all set. Topics include "General," "Humor," "Romantic" and children's cards with more promised soon.
  • One Stop Card Shop - Nice new free digital postcard site with a small, but growing selection of original card images to choose from. Categories include gemstones, underwater, flowers, weddings and birthdays. Just browse through the thumbnail images; select the one you want and add a personalized touch and you're all set.
  • Regards.com Digital Postcards - This free digital postcard site offers the wacky "Dancing Baby" card, as well as an impressive collection of cards for any occasion, which you can personalize, preview, and send instantly from the site. Categories include "Holidays," "Ethnic," "Entertainment," and "Classics."
  • Sourd-Prise Digital Postcards - This interesting free digital card site is the only site we've seen that offers E-cards with pictures related to the topic of deafness and sign language. (Available in English and French).
  • Postcards of Italy - This site offer free digital postcards featuring lovely images of landscapes and monuments in Italy. They also offer romantic and humor postcards.
  • Greetings Online - Greetings Online's free cards are sent as attachments with your E-mail. Just select the category you want and pick a card from one of the thumbnail images. You can then preview, customize and send your card. The cards here all include animations, sound effects and background MIDI music. Your recipient will receive your card via an executable attachment. Categories include birthday, friendship, get well, inspiration, insults, love, miss you and thank you. There's also over 100 songs from which you may choose for background music for your card.
  • "2 mom luv me" digital cards - This eye-catching site offers over 50 original free digital greeting cards, many of which are animated. Categories include: "I love you, " "Thanks," "Get well," "Congratulations," "Birthday," "Miss you," and more, as well as offbeat topics like "Kranky Cards" and "Kooky Cards."
  • Activegrams - This clever, innovative site offers free animated entertainment and greetings, delivered by E-mail. Activegrams range from occasion-based messages to comic strip serials to absurdist animations with sounds effects, etc. They can be delivered in several ways: as an E-mail attachment; as HTML mail; or they can be placed on a custom page whose URL is E-mailed to the recipient.
  • E-Cards - This is one of the better digital greeting card services around. The number of image categories is vast and includes: "Current holidays and special events," "Animals," "Indigenous Peoples" and "Art." You can also send V-Cards (Internet Camera Postcards) here. V-Cards are connected to Internet cameras, which intermittently take new snapshots. A V-Card of "sunny Antarctica" may change to "Antarctica at night" by the time the recipient picks up the card.
